While we can't always control our circumstances, here are some ways we can control how we respond to them:

  3. Take a 10-minute walk and breathe fresh air.

  4. Get a hug from someone you love to release some oxytocin (which helps reduce stress).

  5. Call someone you trust for advice or comfort.

Long term stress relief techniques

  1. Follow a balanced diet.

  2. Make time for activities you enjoy.

  3. Practice positive self-talk.

  4. Exercise regularly.

  5. Practice meditation & mindfulness.

  6. Get 8 hours of sleep everyday.
