You might be seeing "HIPAA" used a lot when discussing your privacy, and wondering what it means. HIPAA stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Basically, HIPAA is a set of security and privacy requirements for all health and medical business/professional services in the United States (and has become standard in many other parts of the world). The requirements include:

  1. Administrative security - i.e., limiting access to user data to only essential staff; anonymizing data.

  2. Physical security - i.e., limited facility access.

  3. Technical security - i.e., using unique user IDs, fully encrypting all communications.

In order to be a health provider, you must prove that you are HIPAA compliant. Ayadi made it a priority to ensure HIPAA compliancy at the start of our journey, so you can be assured that your information is 100% protected in every way possible.
